ABOUT THE HOLD IT CORD KEEPER:  

No more tangled cords! Simple wrap your cords (headphone, phone charger, etc.) and snap them inside the Hold It Cord Keeper. A scrap buster, the Hold It Cord Keeper makes a fun gift item for all ages, a great addition to customers’ orders, or a perfect craft fair inventory item. It comes together lickety-split, and is an ideal beginner pattern.

*** NOTE:  The Hold It Cord Keeper is intended for storing cords when not in use.  Do NOT use for a cord plugged into an electrical outlet.  FABRIC IS FLAMMABLE. ***

1 5/8” Width (narrow end)

ABOUT THE PATTERN:
Photos accompany detailed, tutorial-style instructions.  A printable pattern template is included for both fabric and interfacing pieces. A team of 15 testers vetted this pattern, testing various snap placements and textiles, editing, revising, and clarifying — ensuring your successful outcome.

SUPPLIES:

  • Exterior Fabric : One (5” H x 4” W) piece of cotton, canvas, cork, or faux leather
  • Interior Fabric: One (5” H x 4” W) piece of cotton
  • Woven Interfacing: Two (4” H x 3” W) pieces  // Omit Woven Interfacing for cork or faux leather
  • Firm Interfacing: One (4” H x 3” W) piece of Pellon Peltex, or similar
  • Heavy Duty Snap + Tools for installation ***
  • Hole Punch (or Seam Ripper)
  • Hammer
  • Washable Fabric Marker
  • Walking Foot attachment (recommended)

***NOTE:  For this pattern, instructions are given for using a Heavy Duty Snap Kit, commonly found at fabric shops or online.  However, feel free to use a different closure, such as KAM snaps. Just follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
